Starting anew

As all of you have heard tonight, I have been greatly lacking in blogging this year. I missed one week and that turned to two weeks then a month then half the year. After tonights meeting I thought to myself, what better time to start blogging then now, so here I am, living in the moment and starting anew. Each day is another chance for you to start anew, to improve, to train, to positively change the world around you. Something that I have heard countless times during my journey in kung fu is to never compare yourself to the people beside you. Compare yourself to you yesterday and each day become better. Right now, today me is better the yesterday me because of this blog. It’s important to keep in mind the improvement you have made over the days or the months or even the years and blogging is the perfect way to do just that. I deeply regret not blogging these past months because I have lost out on a 6 month portion of my training that I won’t remember 50 years down the road. That’s why blogging is important to me, it shows you where you are at today and it will stay unchanged forever so you can always see where you’ve come from and the successes and setbacks you’ve experienced. Thank you everyone for sharing tonight. It has greatly helped get me back on track and in the right mind set!
