The mink

This weekend I spent at a lake cabin. We were there with some family friends. The first day that we were there we spotted a mink. And for those of you that don’t know what a mink is, it’s kinda like an otter that has sharp teeth and claws and it’s something that you defiantly don’t want to corner. Anyways our friends had two chihuahuas with them so this mink was bad news. Originally our plan was to set up a trap to kill it but later out mindsets changed. We figured that it has done nothing wrong to us and that we are actually in this animals land. So a new plan sprang into action. We were going to relocate it a little bit away so that way it won’t harm the dogs and it still has it’s life. However day one was coming to an end and there was no more signs of the mink. Family

Father’s Day is once again here and so far it’s been an awesome day. My mom and us three kids made a huge brunch that we shared with both my dad and my grandparents. Now we have been socializing and just catching up with my grandparents. Days like this are designed to bring the family closer together and that’s always important. Family should push you, inspire you and most importantly be there for you. Days like this is important because it brings everyone together for a good time and it’s always healthy to spend time with your family.

Competition

In something’s we do, we find competition. Now competition doesn’t necessarily mean competitive “matches” against someone, it can be against anything. You can find competition within yourself like comfort zones etc. When it comes to kung fu, everyone should be focusing on the internal competition. Sure some external will always be there but as Sifu always says, ask yourself, are you better today then you were yesterday. That’s what makes a great martial artists. Not competing against everyone else and winning every time but training over and over, realizing that you are never done training and always putting your best foot forward. Kung fu teaches us how to lead a proper life style with discipline and respect, not winning at everything we compete in.
