Habits

Habits are found in everyday life, in both daily routines and in kung fu training. However not all of these habits are good. It is next to impossible to lead a lifestyle without a bad habit, but it’s important to try and realize a bad habit and change it while you can. Studies show that it takes 21 days to create a habit with constant conscious decisions but much longer to break an addiction or bad habit. Leading on into martial arts training, bad habits are everywhere. Recently I’ve been working on trying to mitigate that and it is a slow process but it is working. That is the process in which I have to take in many aspects in my training in order to achieve effortless effort. It is now that we should be creating good habits and breaking old ones because for many of us we are just sitting at home. That sounds like a lot of time to me and you can easily find 21 days to create a new habit!
