Second and last week of summer school

I am now done summer school, thankfully, but I am glad I took it. We learned a whole bunch of different things to to with career and life management, sexual assault, difficulties in bad relationships and things like that. It was two busy weeks that involved waking up early and driving into town.

The sixth day of summer school we watched “pursuit of happiness” and did a write up on that. It was a really good movie that thought me some pretty valuable lessons. The first one being always try your best and overcome the obstacles that life throws at you. The second being the never risk all you have to try and get more, never take anyone or anything for granted.

Moving on to the next couple of days, we talked about healthy and unhealthy relationships, sexual assault, and LGTBQ+ people. There was lots of information that I didn’t know that got shared with me during these presentations. I learned about lots of different terms about LGTBQ+ people, I learned that sexual assault can happen without people even knowing about it, and the complications about escaping an unhealthy relationship.

With the week and summer school at its end, I have gained lots of knowledge that I can apply througout my life. I have built a resume in this class and I now how to build a cover letter. I learned what to do in job interviews and some kind of questions they will ask you. Overall this was a good course that was well worth my time and some very valuable lessons I have learned.
