Spring time

The snow is gone and the grass is growing. I would say that it’s spring time! However spring is going to be very different this year. It’s been challenging not being at the kwoon. Although the online classes are working really well, it doesn’t serve the same effect as training at the kwoon. Now that outdoors aren't full of snow or acting will be a easier. I’m looking forward to having more room to train and training more often.

Easter!

Easter is a time to be spent with family, not just your immediate family. All of your cousins, and for adults all of your brothers and sisters should be with you. However Covid-19 has really made that difficult. But not impossible. Our family video chatted our cousins and it still felt like the same little Easter we have every year. For many people Easter felt funny this year and that’s because it should be a time where people get together, not self isolate. However it is important that we kept what we have in front of us, like our family, and be grateful for that and realize that not everything is as bad as it seems.

My year so far

When this year started I hit the ground running. However, it didn’t stay like the for long. Around three weeks into the year I was struggling with abdominal pains and as soon as we got that under control with proper medication, I injured my shoulder in a wrestling match. About two or three weeks passed and I was finally getting back in the grove when Covid-19 came to Canada. Long story short, it’s been a rough start. My numbers are fairly low but they are starting to rise again. As I wrote about in my last blog, this whole self isolation issue has given me time to get my priorities straight and bring up all my numbers. I encourage all of you to do this if you have not already. It has got me in the right mindset and will increase my I Ho Chuan experience greatly.
