Effects of Winter

I may discourage some people to say this but winter came quick this year. Chances are the snow is going to melt but what can I say, the snow is still here. Today I didn’t know what to blog about until I looked out the window and saw snow. I then built on from that and came up with the effects of winter. Winter, depending on the person, can be amazing and cheerful or downright frustrating. For me, it’s the first one. Winter is the time or year to spend time with family and loved ones. Stay inside and talk and laugh around a cozy fire, play outside and go sledding with friends. There is so much positive things about winter if you see it on the right side. There is no bugs, tons of opportunity to have fun, and above all it’s the time to spend with loved ones. Winter can really bring out the inner mood of someone. If they are naturally a grumpy person, the will belly ache about winter and not look on the positive side things. Someone who appreciates life will do the exact oppos...

Living with grandparents

Last week my parents where gone on a trip. In result I had the real treat to have my grandparents over. We normally don’t have them over that much but we had them all week this time instead of just a few days. On the flip side of things, this means not seeing my parents for a whole week.  Living with grandparents is not everyone gets to experience. As for me, I really enjoyed having them over this week. They did lots of things for us including cleaning the basement, baking cinnamon and pizza buns, baking muffins, and even making delicious suppers and breakfasts. As I mention before, not everyone lives with their grandparents that’s much. This may be because of week relationships between either you and your grandparent, or even your parent and grandparent. Having them over made me realize that I have a special treat to have my grandparents, parents, siblings, and all of my other friends and peers around me to encourage me and help me do my best. Thanks to everyone that has st...

High school

As all of you know, this week was the first week of school. For me this was the first week of high school. I knew it was going to be very different from my elementary school but I didn’t know that it would be this different. Starting off, I barely know anybody.  Yes I see a couple of my friends here and there but I barely see them in class. In English I have no friends yet. in accounting, yet again, I have no friends yet. In gym I do have a couple of friends but not a lot. And lastly, in science I have one friend.  Throughout the year going to have to make new friends. Secondly, the block schedule is really different. Instead of having eight blocks throughout the day, we have only four. It can be either good or bad depending on how you look at it. It can be good as getting more work done in a day or it can be bad because of little blocks throughout the day.  You also have to carry most of your stuff with you so you won’t be late to class. This school is very big and y...

Teamwork

This week was the kwoon clean up as well as the the annual potato bake. Thought the whole week many cases of teamwork was shown. From vacuuming to cleaning walls to moving a dresser, teamwork was all involved. It would’ve taking weeks if we didn’t use any teamwork at all. Teamwork is something that is very difficult or very easy. If you don’t like someone it’s going to be much harder to work with them, however it may create a bond between those who might not like each other. If you like someone, it’s going to be easy to work with them as long as you still stay on task and focus on your goal in hand. In your time on earth, you’re  going to have to work with people you don’t like working with, it’s just a part of this journey called life. Teamwork can be used in many different aspects like in a game or in real life cleaning, maybe even passing a test. Overall teamwork is a necessity in life that has to be there no matter what. With all of this being said however, you may also nee...
