Spencer's Story

On Thursday, our grade 9 class had a spectacular experience that I would like to share with everyone. On Thursday, a motivational speaker with the name of Spencer Beach came to talk to us. For everyone who doesn't know Spencer, he worked in the trades until he got into a terrible fire which would change his life forever. Spencer's story began when he was in grade 9. He was a straight A student in Junior high with not that many friends. When he went into high school, he wanted to fit in with everyone so just like everyone, he did drugs and liquor everyday. We went from a straight A student to barley graduating high school because of the bad friend choices he made. In order to get away from these drugs, Spencer moved from St. Albert to Edmonton without telling anyone. In Edmonton Spencer went into trades as a floor installer. Year of Dog First Blog

Hello everyone, my name is Nathaniel Kohut and I'm fourteen years old. I have been in Kung Fu pretty much my whole life and this is my first year in I Ho Chuan. I'm looking forwards to a lot of things this year like getting to know my peers at Kung Fu a little better, taking part in demonstrations throughout the year, and getting more involved with my community. I know that many of the requirements are going to be a struggle for me but that's ok. If I never push myself to do better, I'm always going to have that struggle, and by joining I Ho Chuan I hopefully am going to get rid of some of those struggles. Alongside the positives, of course there's going to be negatives. I’m going to have to be dedicated and in the right mindset to do all of the requirements and my personal goals. Also I'm going to take on lots of responsibilities by joining I Ho Chuan, but I am up for the challenge. So, why I joined. I joined because I feel like I can do better in ev...
